The third generation of the family is now in charge and they are blessed to be living in west Macedonia, where there are plenty of small family farms. Local producers, through sheer love of the land and their art live for and from pulses. They have been our partners since 1956, namely since the first in the family got in the pulses business. Their roots are in the community and their relationship with it can only be characterized as symbiotic and harmonious.
Their philosophy embraces the international phenomenon that is the slow food movement which promotes the concept of “good, clean, fair” food. In other words, their food should be good and aim to please the senses, form part of their general culture and positively contribute to our health.

    At an altitude close to 800m and around Feneos Lake, we produce these excellent yellow split peas, called Fava in Greek. The distinctiveness of the land, the microclimate conditions and the calcium rich soil of the small family farms they are grown in make our Fava beans some of the most delicious, rich in taste and aroma in the world.

    The Giant (Gigantes Elephantes) Beans from Kastoria are a Greek variety of high quality, thin-skinned and very easy to prepare (short boiling time), thanks to the unique combination of microclimate, soil composition and traditional farming techniques used. It is distinguished by the relatively large size of beans (slightly smaller than the Giant beans from Prespes), their reniform shape and white colour.

    The Medium Beans are small, oval shaped and white. This well-adapted variety to the microclimate conditions of the area yields beansthat are delicious, soft and highly nutritional.

    The Small Lentils from Kastoria are a purely Greek variety called Samos that has adapted perfectly to the climate and soil conditions of the mountain slopes. Our lentils are of small size and light green colour.
